Meleni and Katrina met through high school rugby and, when given the opportunity at Penn State University,
instantly bonded as college roommates over baking and books. While introverted and independent,
they enjoy the camaraderie and whimsy each other brings.
Named after Meleni's late pup, Natty's is a reflection of making time for the things in life
that make life worth living and the dreams that can be achieved through the support of friends.

A micro bakery is a small-scale, in our case home-based, bakery focusing on high-quality, artisanal baked goods. We utilize a small-batch process which limits the amount we produce each drop. For us this cuts waste and allows us to bring our customers the goods they actually want.
Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 10.15.03.02B(17-1) Food Service Facilities, defines a cottage food business that produces or packages cottage food products in a residential kitchen in Maryland. It also defines a cottage food product as a non-potentially hazardous food that is sold in the State directly to a consumer from a residence, at a farmer's market, at a public event, by personal delivery, or by mail delivery; or directly to a retail food store.
For the time being, Natty's is a cottage foods business only available through online order. In 2026 Natty's will be available at local farmers markets in Maryland - stay tuned to our updates to find out which ones!
If there are any issues with your order please contact us - we want to make it right! Cottage food businesses are not subject to Maryland food safety regulations. However we have comprehensive record-keeping to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
